On May 24, eBay Motors launches Between 2 Rides, its new action-packed YouTube series hosted by racer-builder Collete Davis.
In the inaugural episode, three-time Formula Drift Champion Chris Forsberg takes a wild ride with Davis at a Long Beach shipyard in his 2023 Nissan Z modded to produce 1,300 horsepower.

The shipyard serves as a righteous playground to play a smokey game of comparison and contrast between street car and race car. The gorgeous stock 2023 Nissan Z has a respectable 400 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. That’s 68 ponies more than the 2022 370Z. But Forsberg carves up the container canyons in his 1,300HP Formula Drift 2023 tire-slaying beast, with Davis in the shotgun seat.
The duo discusses Forsberg’s mods and what it takes to reach the apex of the drifting world. Then, they unleash Forsberg’s Z on a wild drift course sliding through outrageous turns, between shipping containers, and under forklifts.

Locking Differential
Getting both rear wheels spinning is essential for drift. A welded locking differential connects both axles, so the wheels rotate at the same speed. It’s an inexpensive mod but is best for track-only applications. A limited-slip differential (LSD) requires considerably more money and time but is a better choice for a street car.
Racing Seats
As Forsberg explains, the seat is what connects you to the car. Like the Recaro seats in his car, a solid-shell racing seat with a five-point safety harness keeps you planted under high g-forces when sliding sideways. Lowering the center of gravity and stiffening up the springs makes the car more controllable. Three-Time Champ
As with all motorsports, consistency is the secret to landing on top of the standings. In Forsberg’s 2016 Formula Drift season, he reached the podium six times. Half a dozen podium appearances provided enough points for Forsberg to capture his third championship, without having won a single event. He earned second place in his second competition in the 2022 Formula Drift season piloting his all new 2023 Nissan Z.
Forsberg’s drifting antics in Long Beach are just the beginning of the motoring mayhem on Between 2 Rides. Four more episodes are coming up in Season One.
