I want to know more about the under body, roll cage and frame protection in accidents. I am an electric car fan. I actually was the head of the High Tech Small Learning Community at Northeast High School in Philadelphia. I converted a Ford escort into a simple battery electric car. What is the turning radius, road height, etc.
I am in love with the car and have been comparing it with the Fisker for possible purchase in the future.

Aluminum Body Structure
The Model S body is a state-of-the-art, aluminum-intensive design. Weight-saving benefits make aluminum a natural choice for the body and pack structure. Extrusions, stampings and castings were combined to provide exceptional rigidity and strength. In the event of collision, the strong frame protects occupants as crumple zones soften and absorb the energy of an impact.
Unhindered by an internal combustion engine, the front crumple zone is optimized for safety in ways not possible in conventional cars. Perfectly straight double-octagonal rails run along the bottom of the structure and are designed to absorb the energy of impact should one occur. High-strength steel is used in key areas to enhance occupant safety, and the battery structure protects cells from impact and automatically disconnects the power supply. The battery not only protects its contents, but its position augments the overall strength and stiffness of the passenger cabin.
The Traction Control and Stability Control mechanisms are designed to ensure maximum contact between the road and the tires. With onboard sensors, the car predicts achievable traction when cornering and accurately reduces torque for better control with less noticeable loss of power. Stability Control maintains the equilibrium of the vehicle, detecting changes in pitch, yaw and roll.
