Should Honda Bring the New Civic Type R to N.A.?

Last week Honda revealed the Civic Type R Concept at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. Certainly more aggressive looking than the sedately-styled Civic Si sold here in North America, the Type R will be sold in Europe next year. Performance details were light, but we do know that the Type R will feature Honda’s brand new 2.0L VTEC TURBO engine from the Earth Dreams Technology range and deliver 276 hp. With its lowered stance and huge rear wing, this turbocharged hatchback looks like it just came from turning hot laps at a racetrack.

Finally, Honda getting on the same page with the Big Boys and puttin’ out a REAL competitor to VW’s R line, Ford’s Focus ST, Subaru’s WRX STI, Mazda’s Mazdaspeed3…people WANT the power!!! 250hp+ is the norm.
    Thanks….now please, don’t make it a 30k car!!!!

Dont forget Mitsubishi Evo’s David, I can believe the comparison of an evo to an STI, but its a short sided comparison to an r-line, ford focus, mazda 3 speed or a honda R that aint gonna be released in america. Honda makes more bank by selling the crap ass dummy downed civics over here (stateside), cause they can sell 10 of them for 18K before they sell one for 30K, and the price will be 30K+. Worst of all for the R, small turbo and FWD..what a joke.
