Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster Showcased at Miami International Airport
Faster than a speeding Boeing 777 cleared for takeoff, five Aventadors heated up the south runway tarmac after receiving special clearance from the Federal Aviation Administration. Caught on radar, the supercars hit speeds of 210 mph (338 km/h) which exceeds the normal passenger jet takeoff speed of 150-180 mph (241-290 km/h).

According to Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann, “It has been a great pleasure to work with the Miami-Dade Aviation Department and South Beach teams on today’s amazing demonstrations. I have never seen something similar at a Lamborghini event.”
For the uninitiated, the Aventador Roadster is powered by a 6.5-liter V12 engine that develops 700 horsepower and 507 lb-ft of torque. It enables the model to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.0 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph).
