GM Reveals 2014 Camaro SS, Surprise Bonus is Camaro Z28

Chevrolet Surprises NYIAS Media with 2014 Camaro Z28

General Motors managed to create more interest in a refresh than we’ve seen in a long time thanks to a surprising (and confusing) debut of the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro SS during Tuesday’s Live with Kelly and Michael. The unexpected sighting generated buzz for a car that might have otherwise slipped in and out of this year’s New York International Auto Show largely unnoticed, in light of the debut of its GM stable-mate, the all-new Cadillac CTS. It turns out GM did have something up its sleeve for Camaro fans after all: a new Z28.

As far as the 2014 Camaro goes, this is a purely cosmetic refresh: new for 2014 are the front fascia, which has been completely redesigned with a smaller grille opening; the new hood with functional heat extractor, and the new rear spoiler. The big news for the 2014 model year is the debut of the Z28 edition Camaro, resurrecting one of the most popular model designations in General Motors history. The new Z28 is powered by the 7.0-liter LS7 small block V8, currently found in the C6 Corvette Z06. No official power numbers yet but GM is promising “at least 500 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque” in a package some 300 pounds lighter than the current Camaro ZL1. We’ll uh, we’ll take it.

thats what I am talking about, I like it,more ponies less weight and a more aggresive style, the only thing they need is to make it smaller, the car is still huge, kinda like the ford taurus looks nice but still a seven footer when it could be a six footer.

I think that what you published made a bunch of sense.

But, consider this, what if you typed a catchier title?

I mean, I don’t wish to tell you how to run your blog, but
what if you added a headline to possibly get people’s attention?

Motors Blog is kinda vanilla. You could peek at Yahoo’s front page and note how they create
article titles to get people to click. You might add a video or
a pic or two to get people interested about what you’ve got to
say. In my opinion, it could bring your posts a little
    livelier.

Love the Camaro. Front facelift looks awesome. Dash is still ugly as ever. The previous tail lights were perfect, but many complained that the 2014 Stingray tail lights looked like the Camaro tail-lights. Chevy’s Solution? Hastily change the Camaro tail lights! But now the Camaro upper rear end and tail lights are reminiscent of a 97 Honda Prelude. Just looks cheap and tacky – I came to that decision after seeing one on the road yesterday. Horrible. Maybe GM will get it right with the next face-lift.

300 lb weight loss is impressive. Wondering how/where they did that.
