In the film, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” Ferris convinces his best friend Cameron to borrow his father’s rare 1961 Ferrari GT California. When Cameron and Ferris took the Ferrari for a joy ride in Chicago, everything was going to plan until the Ferrari accidentally drove thru the glass wall of the garage and plummeted thirty feet into the ravine behind the house. Ouch!

    My dad had a ’59 VW, followed by a ’64 VW and a ’69 Volvo 144 (at which point he retired and he and mom went back to being a single-car household). Seems your list might’ve disregarded the possibility that some dads might have driven economy cars or sober sedans.

    Dad had a long line of great vehicles (as did Mum); XK 150 S, Studebaker President Straight 8 Roadster, MG TC Race Car, Aston DB6 Vantage plus many more…
