eBay Listing: 1957 Buick Roadmaster 75

Four doors are often found at the end of car collectors’ turned-up noses. But they’re great cars, even if you think they have two too many doors. If you’d like ’50s style and would like to take a few friends with you to the local cruise spot, this 1957 Buick Roadmaster 75 could be just the car for you.

Buick’s Roadmaster 75 series put a plush and expensive bow on the company lineup. The starting four-door price was $4,483. The 75 was only available in two- and four-door hard top bodies, and then just in 1957 and 1958. Nearly every power-assist feature (power windows, seats, brakes, steering, etc.) came included with the 75, except a/c. But the original owner of this example checked that option box too.

The restoration, dating from the early ’90s, has held up remarkably well with still-shiny paint, clean sheet metal and decent chrome pieces. The a/c, windows, clock, seats and antenna are all in working order.

The only faults the seller points out are a missing trunk lock, non-operation Wonderbar radio and dirty carpets. The seller also notes the car was part of a large collection, “so it only gets exercised once a month and only for a couple of miles.” As the same with every collector-car purchase, make sure to get the car inspected before any long trips.

Seven 1957 Roadmasters of all body styles sold on eBay Motors in the past year. Good to excellent examples averaged from $10k to $18k. A total of 12,250 1957 four-door hard tops were made, considerably fewer are left, and just a fraction of those are in this car’s condition.
