Screeching Michelin performance rubber could be heard for hours from afar as if we were attending a Sunday race of the GT Le Mans class of the IMSA Tudor United Sports Car Championship, which BMW is currently leading. Up close you could witness 2015 M3s and M4s blasting down the straightaway of Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. It’s one of the fastest tracks in the country and certainly one of the most exciting to drive on. So instead of stargazing like a fan of BMW Team RLL’s Dirk Müller, we found ourselves a helmet, strapped in the M4 and drove it like we stole it!
For 2015, the Subaru WRX STI got a thorough makeover. New chassis, new suspension, new everything except the tried and true 2.5-liter turbocharged Boxer 4-cylinder engine. The Chevy Suburban has been around for quite a while. So long, in fact, that it now has the distinction of being the longest continuous use automotive nameplate in the world. The Suburban was also the first truck-based SUV, and continues to be one of GM’s most profitable models.
The 2014 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid blends sophisticated styling, and technology into a package that takes Lincoln to new levels of luxury and performance. Though not as desirable as some others in its category — for instance, the BMW ActiveHybrid 3 series or Lexus ES 300h — the MKZ Hybrid offers a uniquely opulent design, an efficient powertrain, and a nice roster of upscale amenities.

This year Jaguar thrills us with the F-TYPE Coupe and delivers an exciting blend of style, performance, and luxury that will fire up your lust for cars no matter how your priorities rank. A sports car is all about performance, character, and being unique. Convincingly the Jaguar F-TYPE Coupe delivers all of this and more.
The hysterical television ad for the Cadillac ELR luxury electric vehicle would have us believe this: “You work hard, you create your own luck, and you gotta believe anything is possible.” It’s also intended convince us that the mean-looking electric sedan is worth its $76,000 base sticker price. Unfortunately, my week driving the ELR revealed those marketing messages, while worth a quick chuckle on YouTube, to be hype. This vehicle is a glitzy dud.
Maserati has a glorious history of sporting achievements and an international reputation for producing great road cars. Now in its 100th year of production, the brand is adding a new, lower-priced, mid-size sedan to its lineup with the goal of dramatically increasing annual sales. The new four door, called the Ghibli, has Italian flair, a Ferrari engine and a lower price tag than Maserati’s other models that are all priced above $100,000.
