The sixth-generation Mustang represents the Mustang’s next 50 years. It’s still America’s sweetheart, an automotive icon that’s held up during the great times and the bad. The 2015 Mustang has a lot to live up to, but a lot of it already sounds promising.
Today, almost 50 years after Lee Iacocca previewed the all-new 1965 Ford Mustang at the New York World’s Fair, the 6th generation of the Mustang will be revealed in New York, Dearborn, Los Angeles, Barcelona, Sydney and Shanghai nearly simultaneously.
In New York, the Mustang will make an appearance on ABC’s “Good Morning America;” in LA it will be unveiled in front of the TCL Chinese theater on the “Hollywood Walk of Fame;” in Dearborn it will be showcased for Ford employees and retirees; in Barcelona it will be the centerpiece of Ford’s “Go Further” conference; in Sydney it will be revealed at a lifestyle event that will be broadcasted live online; in Shanghai it will debut at an exciting media and enthusiast event.
eBayMotors was on the ground in Los Angeles covering unveiling at the TCL Chinese Theater in West Hollywood. Select press, representatives from Roush, Shelby, and Saleen were invited to the west coast premier in addition to a few celebrities such as John Force, Justin Bell, and Chad McQueen — Steve McQueen’s son.
