This ’72 MG looked like a steal when we spotted it at a bid of $2,100 with no reserve, and we’ll be watching it closely to see if someone gets a crazy deal. It boasts wire wheels, the all-important chrome bumpers, and a color that we might not have gone for ten years ago–but today looks sporty, fresh, and just a little in-your-face.
Convertible MGs fetch more money, of course, but the fastback roofline of the BGT coupe is one of our favorite automotive forms. Either way, a closed car makes for a more practical daily driver. This one has had a recent carb rebuild and reportedly “runs fine” with good compression, but the mention of prolonged storage warrants close inspection and a little wariness.
645 MGB GTs sold on eBay Motors in the past three years, with decent examples averaging $5,800 to $9,800. See this one’s listing here, with reserve already met.
