Looking for some vintage American muscle? Want to stand out from all the GTOs, Chevelles, Camaros, and Mustangs at your local cruise-in? This’67 Olds 442 is said to be a one-owner car with just 67,000 miles. The original Protect-O-Plate and window sticker confirm a long list of options, including power steering, power disc brakes, bucket seats, Positraction axle, and the factory 400-ci 350-hp V8.
Oldsmobile took its B09 police pursuit performance option and built it into the 442, releasing it in 1964 to compete with Pontiac’s GTO. True to its name, the package originally consisted of a 4-barrel carburetor, a 4-speed manual transmission, and dual exhaust. Later cars could be ordered with triple carbs (until 1966) and automatic transmissions.
The car looks clean, shiny, and rust-free, and the seller states it was repainted once ten years ago in correct original code R-2 red. The interior is all original and appears to be well cared for. And it comes with all its original documentation, which is a great bonus, as it verifies the car as a true 442.
Just over 500 1964-1967 Olds 442s have sold on eBay in the past two years, with prime examples averaging about $27k. So if you’re looking for the perfect GTO beater, check out the listing for this one here.
