1966 Honda S600 Roadster

With an engine note like a swarm of angry hornets, chain-driven rear wheels, and microscopic size, Honda’s S600 is as close as you can get to a chainsaw on four wheels.  The tiny 606-cc dual overhead-cam 4-banger spins to a crazy 9,500-rpm redline, and driving one in modern traffic requires keeping the needle above 4,000 rpm—which means everyone will be watching as you scream past at 35 mph.

U.S. dealers never imported the S600 when new, so they’re exceedingly rare here in the states.  This example is said to have been recently imported to Canada from Japan. The seller reports that there is “absolutely no rust,” save for a “tiny surface bubble on the trunk.” The paint “looks nice and shiny,” and has been repainted at least once in its past. The driver’s seat is very worn, so add one odometer rollover to the 21k indicated miles. The interior is said to be clean otherwise.

With only the minor needs noted, the new owner should be able to drive and enjoy this as soon as he or she takes delivery. As S600s become better known to collectors, there is good potential for them to increase in value. But in the meantime, adding some miles shouldn’t hurt this one’s resale. See the listing here.
