1954 Triumph TR2

This ’54 Triumph looks like a great late-summer roadster that’s ready to be driven right away. It boasts complete history, three owners from new, a partial restoration in the 1980s, a repaint completed in 1990, and has been in heated storage since 2003. It is now described as a “good driver,” and the seller states, “Everything works.”

The car reportedly has “all of its original drive train” and “most of its original parts.” It originally wore green paint over tan interior, but the current red-and-black color combo looks great with the wide whites and chrome wires. The original painted 48-spoke wires are also included with the car. Overall, it looks clean, straight, and rust-free from all angles, and has “no apparent rust or rot problems,” according to the seller. The high-torque starter is a helpful upgrade.

Nice extras include an extra Lucas vintage-style battery, original battery bolt-down cables, T-handle for glove box and trunk, owners’ manual, Haynes manual, original keys, extra tire, and new custom cover.

A total of 29 1953-1955 Triumph TR2s have sold on eBay Motors in the past two years, with average prices ranging from $7,700 to $12,500 depending on condition. See this one’s listing here.
